This year, the FIFA Museum turns 10 years old. Since opening its doors to the public for the very first time on 28 February 2016 in Zurich, the FIFA Museum has welcomed more than 2 million visitors in exhibitions worldwide and on all continents. We took the FIFA Museum to Zurich, Miami, Sydney, Doha, Paris, Moscow, Asunción, Madrid, Rabat and New York, immersing ourselves in the truly global culture of football. In celebration of the last decade, and in anticipation of all that's to come, we have a whole year of initiatives, digital storytelling and educational activities planned. Watch history unfold from the eyes of the FIFA Museum, as we look back on our growth through the world of football heritage, and look forward to an even brighter future. Who wore it better? 🤔 There was no such thing as a team uniform back in 1934. As seen in the top photo, the Spanish squad inspected the pitch in their own personal attire ahead of their FIFA World Cup quarter-final against Italy in Florence. Nearly a century later, in the photo from before the Morocco vs Spain Round of 16 clash at the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, the style has become a little bit more casual. When Scotland lit up the world stage in style! 🏴💫 In 1978 Archie Gemmill scored one of the most iconic goals the FIFA World Cup has ever seen, dribbling past three Dutch players before expertly chipping the ball over goalkeeper Jan Jongbloed 🤯⚽️ A 3-1 scoreline would have been enough to secure a spot in the knockout rounds, and Scotland began to hope. When football becomes fashion 👟⚽ The 2018–2019 Nigeria home jersey, worn at the FIFA World Cup 2018, quickly became a global style phenomenon, with over three million pre-orders even before its release. 🇳🇬🔥 Its bold, vibrant design transcended the pitch and turned into a streetwear icon.
