Catholic friends - looking for some advice: a family member in his 60s has not been to church or prayerful since he was young. He is dealing with some medical issues right now, which has him feeling very vulnerable and discouraged. He said to my husband that he felt the call to pray and it did help him emotionally and he started to see some things in a different light. I want to gently encourage him to continue. I'm thinking of getting him a small cross and perhaps some books. Any recommendations for books or podcasts helping lapsed Catholics find their way back to God?
