First Lady @MamaRachelRuto is in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, accompanying H.E. the President for the 39th Ordinary Session of the African Union Assembly. While in Addis Ababa, the First Lady will join fellow African First Ladies at the Organisation of African First Ladies for Development (@OAFLAD) Forum taking place at the AU. This year’s OAFLAD Conference is themed “Building Resilience for Women and Girls,” a timely and urgent call to strengthen systems, partnerships, and opportunities that enable women and girls across our continent to thrive and overcome social and economic challenges. Through her participation, the First Lady continues to advance Kenya’s commitment to empowering women, protecting children, and fostering sustainable development initiatives that uplift families and communities.
