@ModernWarzone “Casual” but no solos. Haven’t tried it yet. That said, there’s NO support or place for true casuals who don’t want to hyper sweat against cheaters and/or cracked out wall jump 360 no scope insta head shot clip hunters in any CoD product I’ve tried for years. Last year I buy.

Black Ops Royale has lowered the barrier to entry for casual players to be on a level playing field with everyone else by removing the need to level meta weapons up. However, the feedback I’ve seen from casual players is that they hate the mode and are leaving in masses. The gameplay itself definitely favors sweatier players, but I want to hear from any of you who consider yourself casual, what do you think of Black Ops Royale / Blackout 2.0? Are your casual friends playing or enjoying the mode? Let me know, I’m tryna see something.

@rohanvarma I still do a lot of surgical editing of code with agent. Not being able to easily drag files from vs code in (and @ references not to working if the file isnt tracked by git (assuming that’s the reason)) makes this annoying. Prefer in-IDE chat for most daily use for that reason.

If you have tried the Codex App, but don't use it as a daily driver yet: What needs to improve to make it the primary place you work with coding agents?

@OpenAIDevs Woulda been nice to know that after I paid $40 to top up credits I still wouldn't be getting gpt-5.3-codex... The VS Code chat window still shows 5.3 selected, but it's definitely not using it. Wouldn't have paid to downgrade... (LOVE 5.3 though. Great work on that.)

How do you know that hormone based signaling is the only way to facilitate “feeling?” I’m not saying “we’re there,” but I do think we should be careful how easily we toss the notion of sentience or agency because “hormones.”

@milesdeutscher To feel emotions you need a natural brain with natural chemicals. This is just slop formulated through human interpretation not of its own accord.

@reaperreapzz 95% of my games are vs sweaty movement nerds, all of whom are better than me, many of whom I'm very sure are also running cronus/cheats (I have 0 faith in Ricochet). I'm too old and employed to devote more than 2 hours a day to "just get better." I try not to quit, but it's hard.

Something needs to be done about rage quitting in Black Ops 7. People constantly leave matches and you end up chasing 1-2 players around the map

@TheMW2Ghost That's what minimally considered MEANS. If skill was heavily considered (like it WAS with old SBMM), we WOULDN'T have so many mismatched lobbies where my 41 year old tired ass is literally matched with JoeWo. Minimal means LESS consideration of skill, so more skill gap.

I was defending it in the beginning but boy, these lobbies don’t seem like skill is minimal considered much any more 🤨 Unless they’re purposely matching me with other players who’ve got nukes and have mastered the art of movement and aiming. 9/10 of my lobbies I play the majority are far better than me and I’m fighting for my life brother I don’t care if I self expose myself as a bot - I am not putting “good at call of duty” on my resumes I dunno man.

@fakeDABOMB101 @KeshavBhat That's definitely possible. I think the problem is that the skill gap is too large. A single REALLY good player can shit on an entire lobby of average to below average casuals. Casuals should face casuals, pros should face pros, at least the VAST MAJORITY of the time.

@FitzyCodes @KeshavBhat The problem is they split them so there aren't nearly as many average and below average players in open as there should be. There should be way more people in it which would make the lobbies a lot less sweaty for everyone involved it is a domino effect that can't be stopped

Black Ops 7 does not sell as well -> less players overall -> open matchmaking gets to sweaty -> % of players go back to standard, leading to "increased engagement." fascinating to see what happens next.

@G_L_O_P @KeshavBhat I'm not saying I should have a special league of CDL that I can win and show off my e-medal. I'm saying I paid to purchase this game and should get to enjoy it. You want to be the star pro league athlete that gets to shit on little leaguers who just want to play the game.

@janclok7_8 @CODWarfareForum Everyone likes to feel like a god sometimes. I get the appeal. But Olympians don't race against average high school students. 50 year old guys aren't forced to play basketball against NBA draftees to keep enjoying the game. There's room for everyone.

@FitzyCodes @CODWarfareForum lmao Ive always complained about SBMM. I like to destroy noobs like you in my lobbies, but I completely understand everything you just said so after all I think SBMM should be in the game so the majority of the player base (casuals like you) are happy

So full SBMM playlists will now be in the featured mosh pits "because they say they've seen increased engagement in their data" Now calling it Standard, which it never was standard until 2019 and IW introduced SBMM. Open Match making is in all the separate modes still, just not in the featured mosh pits. So make sure your not playing those mosh pits and choose the option you need in the match playlists. Their going to do a massive bait and switch and rug pull at some point, because data data data !!! @MaTtKs the players don't want this.

@CODWarfareForum I'd be fine with something in between. I should never have JoeWo in my lobby (actually happened). But I'm okay with SOMETIMES getting even much higher skilled players in the mix. But having 1 game where we can maybe break even for 10 where we get shit on is how the game dies.

@CODWarfareForum No. I'm 41. I have a career, a wife, and a house to take care of. I have other hobbies. I can't dedicate 2 hours to aim training before I spend 4 hours grinding every day. And I'm the one who can afford the bullshit battle passes and bundles to keep the fucking servers online.

@omgitsbirdman Incorrect. I've tried since launch to have fun in Open. It isn't fun. I'm a casual, average skilled player. It's not fun to get shit on by movement demon mega sweats game after game to get MAYBE 1 match in 20 that I can enjoy. Standard SBMM is how I can have fun.

lmfaooooo I promise this is a lie. Casuals just search the first playlist thats why tdm has always had the most players no way they went and filtered to find the sbmm playlist they dont even know what sbmm is

@Geek4PM @ostrisai Hard to tell much diff with my old eyes, but it SEEMED like it learned the likeness a good bit earlier (500 fewer steps), and at the far end of training, it was picking up finer details (textures, etc.) a little better with less overbaking. Almost imperceptible changes though.

I added a v2 of the z-image-turbo training adapter. It is 2x as big and has been trained for a significantly longer time. With these adapters, it is a balance of getting the max amount of de-distillation without diverging from the base too much so the LoRAs maintain maximum compatibility. So I want to test this a bit more before setting it as the default. But if you want to test, just chanve the v1 to v2 in the config, and please report back if you find it works better / worse than the v1 adapter.

@TheXclusiveAce To be clear: good for them. I just want to play a video game, have fun, try to improve, etc. I have no chance to TRY to get better against these folks, much less enjoy the game. And for those who LOVE stomping us, we'll go do other things, and then who will you be facing?

@TheXclusiveAce There is ZERO place for casuals/those not mega skilled anymore. I'm not the WORST player, but I'm definitely average to below (I'm 41 and have a job). With or without SBMM, I feel like 9/10 matches are against movement demons who instasnap to my head before I even see them.

I'm exploring a potential video idea & looking for some additional perspectives. For those that dislike BO7's multiplayer, can you share some specific reasons for this? Not just "game bad" or "AI slop" but actual specific reasons for not enjoying the gameplay experience.
