It doesn’t matter who you root for (unless it's Boston), you have to be happy for the fans in Buffalo. You could feel how desperate that crowd was through the tv. It's nice to see them get rewarded

@BruceMountjoy Brutal, just brutal game to be at. One of I think only four reverse sweeps in NHL history, if memory serves. I can't even imagine the vibes after the clock hit zeroes in that one

@ForbesFieldAlex The Islanders have been Penguin killers for years. I was at Game 7 in 1975 with my dad when the Islanders came back from a 3-0 deficit to beat the Pens 4 games to 3. I was scarred for life. We lost game 7 1-0 on a goal by Ed Westfall. Just the first of many Islander beatings.

@kelsey_surmacz4 I know they won’t and can’t change jerseys since they're set before the playoffs, but I am curious what would happen if the Penguins went rogue and tried it anyways. Does the organization get fined or something like that?

FYI, the Penguins cannot swap out their home jerseys. They're rolling with the gold. Imo, this is being blown out of proportion a bit. The team chose them, and that's that.

@BruceMountjoy I just keep getting flashbacks to the 2021 series against the Islanders. Once was enough for me. I like the gold jerseys but exclusively as the alternates, not for the majority and not for the playoffs
