There needs to be better measurement of PR quality vs. just a pure PR quantity OKR. AI slop at scale, at the companies consumers use en masse and trust will degrade that trust quickly. Same thing applies to job searching right now. Quality applications > quantity. Quality answers from prep > cheating tools.

Most hiring managers want to give rejection feedback but can't say much for legal reasons. 'Was there a specific skill gap I should work on?' gets the best answers because it gives us something concrete to point to without putting the company at risk.

I can't name the company, but during the ice age of job hunting right after graduation, when I was bombing every interview, there was this one five-star hotel that I applied to for a customer care position. Because the schedules of the people who were supposed to interview me didn't line up, they skipped all the intermediate rounds entirely and threw me straight into the executive interview. When the executive asked me, "Do you like talking to strangers?" and I simply said, "Yes," that was it—I got the offer on the spot.
