@LindsayGuzzardo Hey hey! Life keeps getting better. Have fun making book connections.
English

Big news: I’ve officially launched Keystone Literary Agency!
I’m so grateful for the relationships built over the past five years and excited for this next chapter.
Here’s to connecting great books with the world.

@laurenspieller That was likely me, and I apologize. But I can promise I wasn't trying to subvert anything. I followed one set of directions and then when the next set didn't match up, I thought QM had made a mistake. Turns out, I guess I did, but it was unintentional. No disrespect intended.
English

@stlsportscntrl I’m open to their right to do it. But I wouldn’t pay it.

For years the #STLCards have tossed around the idea of offering a direct-to-consumer subscription model to watch their games
That day may be coming soon. Today, it was revealed in court that the Cardinals and Bally Sports will have to renegotiate a deal to continue broadcasting the team in 2025
While a deal may be reached, there is also a real world where the team offers a direct-to-consumer subscription model
When the Padres stopped receiving their rights payments, their broadcast was taken over by MLB Network. They currently charge their in-market customers $19.99 a month to watch games
If the Cardinals went down a similar route, would you be open to that agreement?

English

@909One @Jimfrombaseball He was referring to the earlier post that claimed (wrongly) that zero players had attended Flood’s funeral. That post was disrespectful in addition to being wrong.
English

@Jimfrombaseball I don’t get the disrespect. Look at the distinguished pallbearers?
Clarify??
English

@Patrick64953381 @Jimfrombaseball Is that true? I’ve heard contemporaries speak highly of him. Lou Brock and Bob Gibson come to mind, but I’ll have to check if I’m remembering correctly.

"Curt Flood sued the game. He asked for changes in baseball’s reserve clause & $1.4 million in damages. His lawyers & union chief Marvin Miller warned his chances of winning were slim. “If you go ahead with this, forget any idea of ever being the first black manager. Or even a coach or a scout. Forget it!”
Flood responded: “I want to go out like a man instead of a bottle cap.”

English

@OdinOfFootball @Jimfrombaseball I wonder if you practice what you preach?
Letting your employer own and control you is hardly loyalty.
English

@Jimfrombaseball I respect the game I truly do but Flood was the impetus of the players losing their loyalty to the team and becoming only about "ME!" Im not a fan of free agency.

@notgaetti Defensive first base doesn’t compare with defensive SS. C’mon.

@katieemorann Telephone answering machines. When you’d get home after a weekend away and hope to God there weren’t ZERO messages to confirm your unpopularity.
English

@katieemorann I think the 90s are way too hot, espeyright now cuz I have a cast on my arm. I love the 60s when you can open the windows and—
Sorry, what?
Oh, well, that’s different.
Never mind.
I miss Gilda Radner!

After outfielder Mike Shannon was switched to third base, Shannon came to the mound on opening day to ask Bob Gibson where to play a certain hitter.
Gibby: Don’t worry about it.
Shannon: What do you mean?
Gibby: I won’t let them hit the ball to you.

@Jimfrombaseball Neither of them should have lived with any regret, but who am I to say? Memories are both a blessing and a curse.

"You know, I had as much ability as Stan Musial, maybe more. Nobody had more power than me. Nobody could run faster than me. But Stan was a better player because he's a better man than me. Because he got everything out of his life & his ability that he could. And he'll never have to live with all the regret that I have to live with."
