Day 24, or Christmas eve, here is a picture of what most children expect tomorrow: Santa bringing them presents! This is in Standish Hospital in 1968, taken from the citizen newspaper. Did you have any similar toys? Ref: D10638/1/1968/52/21

On the 20th day of advent we're going back to the 1940s. Specifically, the lives of evacuees in Sapperton. Here is an extract from a 'magazine', a compilation of drawings and articles written by evacuees describing their experiences. Ref: D14013/3

Day 22 takes us to the parish of Mickleton. Here is a Christmas postcard of St Laurence Church, although we are not sure on the date. Reference: P216/CW/3/30

Day 14 of advent takes us to Ruardean, where Kathleen 'Zena' Reeves was born in 1910. Here she is being interviewed by Derek Fisher, sharing her memories of Christmas on the hospital wards as a nurse. Reference: D12368/1/8

Can you help? A Customer has asked if we can identify this building. The photograph was taken in 1976 and thought to be in the Cotswolds. We are stumped! Any ideas?

Day 17 of advent takes us to the village of Horton, where Mr Mills recollects the Horton Bull. This was an old tradition at Christmas, where someone would dress up in the skin and horns of a bull and visit the local pubs. Have you got a similar tradition near you? Ref: D6822/71
