Under the fiscal year 2026 FCS omnibus contract, General Dynamics will continue to provide full life cycle and operational support for all deployed Ohio-class ballistic missile submarine (SSBN) FCSs, as well as continue the development, production and installation for all new Columbia-class SSBN FCSs through 2032. “General Dynamics Mission Systems has been a trusted provider of highly reliable fire control systems to the U.S. submarine force for more than seven decades. #eWeek | #CelebratingPeople | General Dynamics Mission Systems proudly recognizes two of our exceptional engineers, Jessica Cuthbertson and Eyong Tabe, who were both recently honored as modern day technology leaders. Jessica Cuthbertson, an Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM), is celebrated for her deep technical expertise. She demonstrated outstanding innovation by creating a script that automated a manual audit log process, cutting the required time in half. Jessica also brings valuable experience to her role from her service as an expeditionary communications operations captain in the Air National Guard. Her manager, information assurance manager Brian Kashner spoke highly of her deep knowledge of information assurance security and her technical expertise, which he says, “are pivotal in ensuring that the overall development, documentation, monitoring, and compliance.” With 28 years at the company, Eyong Tabe is honored for his exceptional engineering and leadership. Eyong is now forging a new path by leading teams developing commercial products for military applications, adapting his extensive experience to new challenges. Director of engineering Neff Guardia spoke of him as “an exceptional engineer and leader who consistently demonstrates a commitment to excellence, innovation and teamwork.” Neff says Eyong’s leadership capabilities were further highlighted when he took on a systems engineering role in a complex multi-vendor project supporting the customer. Eyong’s ability to lead such intricate efforts to successful outcomes is a testament to his technical prowess and leadership skills.” Both Jessica and Eyong exemplify the dedication and innovative spirit that are hallmarks of our engineering talent!
