This may be a miscalculated move by Israel if the goal is to win the war. Regime change in Iran could easily backfire, weaken their influence in Washington, and deal a serious blow to the Republican Party in the midterms, and possibly the next presidential election

Israel’s prime minister wants to prolong the war, knowing very well that it will not end soon, even with ground troops. It is the only way he can sideline Iran and force Middle Eastern leadership to side with Israel. If President Trump stopped the war and prevented Israel from attacking Iran, the regime might not survive much longer without a complete overhaul under public pressure for change. People like @LindseyGrahamSC are keen on war because their buddies make big from contracts, with no regard for human losses. They endanger peaceful countries such as those in the GCC, even though those countries have already bought billions of dollars worth of ammunition from the US and invested billions more in the US economy.

Pakistan will soon have to choose a side. As Iran escalates against the GCC, particularly the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Islamabad cannot continue trying to keep Iran, China, and Russia satisfied while offering only lip service to Washington and Riyadh.
