Good Business Lab (GBL) and the Retailers Association of India (RAI) are collaborating to drive action on people-centric wellbeing solutions for the retail industry.
RAI will convene key stakeholders across the ecosystem, while GBL will contribute research expertise to support evidence-building, shared learning, and identification of priority areas for action, informed by consultations with retailers.
As one of the first steps in this partnership, we participated in RAI’s Ekam Summit, where Smit Gade, Senior Director, Research & Field at GBL, moderated a panel on what measurable DEI outcomes can look like in practice. The discussion brought together leaders from across the retail ecosystem, including Sanchita Ghosh (Titan Company Ltd.), Bani Khurana Shaikh (Reliance Retail), Shubra Singh (IKEA), Nabamita Banerjee (Shoppers Stop), Maya Fuke (Nexus), and Neelam Ahluwalia (BigBasket), who shared perspectives on translating DEI commitments into operational realities.
In the same forum, Eshika Gombar, Associate Director, Growth at GBL, gave a talk on GBL's portfolio of projects across gender, health, livelihoods, climate, and workplace environment, as well as shared potential solutions pathways for building a diverse and inclusive retail sector.
