For 15 years, Canadians have overwhelmingly purchased large SUV’s and pickup trucks knowing the price of gas will always increase and be volatile.
Maybe instead of subsiding that, we invest in public transit so people have the option to not drive everywhere for everything.

🚨🇺🇸🇮🇷 Trump's address in 19 minutes: more threats, no exit plan
Key takeaways from tonight's speech:
-The war will last "two to three more weeks."
-Power plants get bombed if no deal is reached.
-Core objectives are "close to completion."
-The U.S. "will bring Iran back to the stone age."
-America won't import oil from Hormuz in the future.
-And "Iran's navy is gone."
What he didn't say matters more.
No mention of a ceasefire framework.
No acknowledgment that his own intelligence agencies say Iran isn't ready to negotiate.
No plan for Hormuz beyond telling other countries to fix it.
And barely a word about gas prices, inflation, or the economic pain Americans are feeling right now.
Oil was falling when he started speaking. It was above $103 when he finished.
Markets heard the speech and priced in more war, not less.

Why should a fisherman in Nova Scotia, a teacher in BC or a farmer in Saskatchewan foot the bill for Ontario's housing costs? Using federal tax dollars, collected from everyone, for a "provincial" fix feels off. Is this a national crisis strategy, a by-election boost, or just making everyone pay for one province’s mess?

@KirkLubimov If Alberta has the chance they should absolutely take it. BC is just too difficult atm

If the US is serious about working with Alberta to get a pipeline to the West Coast, then it is the best thing that could possibly happen to Alberta.
>will be done quicker
>will be done faster
>won't need to comply with an industrial carbon tax
>won't need uneconomical carbon capture project
>won't need to line up pockets of First Nations
Alberta should also take ownership in it.
When Canada will be ready to do business and remove red tape, we will be here for it as well but we shouldn't waste time on it.
Also, let's get Keystone XL going asap.
