Taking care to include species that bloom through the growing season for food and nectar and upright grasses, we provided a well-functioning naturescape with visual interest throughout the winter.

Using a plant pallet of predominately plants native to the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains with adaptive species and contouring with mounds for deeper rooted species, the plant cover provides habitat for birds and invertebrates.

This extensive/semi-intensive green roof was retrofit onto an existing concrete garage and shop. Set on a sloping site with commanding views of downtown Calgary, it brings the ground plan to the back door inviting nature closer to the main living spaces of the house.

New year, new colours in Barnet's rain gardens💧🌿 Filled with vibrant blooms and lush greenery, 1300 plants cover over 194m2 including herbaceous perennials and hardy species such as verbena, cornus and crocosmia. The SuDS are built with walkways and stepping stones brightening up the area while encouraging people to walk through and interact.
