We are doing a profound disservice to our citizens by funneling a service that used to be provided in ALL 120 counties into just 33 “regional offices”—what did we think would happen?! Wait times, even with appointments, are a nightmare! I’m generally not one to whine about bills not passing, as the legislative process is designed to be deliberate and cautious. However, this is a NO-BRAINER, and we should have passed the bill I filed to fix the broken REAL ID program! Circuit clerks in all 120 counties managed to issue standard driver’s licenses for 88 years—we need to RETURN standard driver’s licenses to the counties where they belong. We have nine months to prepare for this battle, but I NEED YOUR HELP. 📢 Please share your REAL ID experiences with me so I can clearly demonstrate to House Leadership that the failure is catastrophic and unacceptable.
