It's a shame the Wakeman and Son show will not be recorded professionally . Out of my hands sadly .

In the 1980s you were my golfing hero & I remember around 1986 playing with you at Wentworth . I was a struggling 28 handicap then & on the first hole went in to a deep bunker and asked you for advice on getting out & you said "When you're a 28 handicapper , don't go in them" !

The #Spotlight is on Roni today. This gorgeous, big boy is strong and best suited to a family who understands Shepherd breeds. Despite his size he’s gentle, fun-loving and laid-back – an easy-going companion. Email adoptions@savingstrays.org.uk to foster or adopt. 🐾 #Adopt

I'm about to fly to New York to start the short Wakeman & Son tour with Oliver. Being my last shows in the USA, (barring an absolute miracle), it will be very nostalgic from first to last show .

I can't believe it's 11 years since he left us . He's still a major influence to bass players young & old . It was a privilege to watch him play & even more so for me as I had the privilege to be in the same band & be on stage with him . I'm sure he's causing chaos in Heaven !

Did you know these interesting facts about Chris Squire of YES? • His nickname “Fish” came from his habit of taking extremely long baths—bandmates would grow impatient waiting for him to finish, joking that he was “swimming” or “like a fish.” This quirky trait stuck throughout his career. • Squire began his musical life as a choirboy at St. Andrew’s Church in London, trained by choirmaster Barry Rose. This early exposure to church music and harmony (including Bach and classical vocal parts) deeply influenced his melodic bass style—he often treated the bass as a “lead” instrument with counter-melodies and harmonies that intertwined with vocals and guitars. • Largely self-taught on bass (he started at age 16 after a friend suggested it because he was tall—6’4”—with big hands), Squire was inspired by John Entwistle of The Who (whose aggressive, melodic playing he admired) and Pete Townshend’s stage presence. He picked up the bass belatedly after a bad acid trip during an eight-month recovery period, which he credited for sparking his creativity. • He co-founded Yes in 1968 with Jon Anderson after meeting in a Soho music shop (they bonded over shared love of vocal harmony groups like Simon & Garfunkel). #mikesquestions #ChrisSquire

@Bosco4Indy They had to be spread to fit on two sides of vinyl as there are limitatioons as to how much you can squeeze on one side and keep the quality

by the time these cheap cremation companies have paid for the tv ads , I'm guessing that out of the couple of grand they ask you to pay for the privilege of having them set fire to you when no-one's looking, the remaining £8 should more than cover the cost of the matches

every time I watch daytime tv these days, every other advert seems to be about being cremated cheaply. Lots of smiling faces saying what a wonderful deal they can get. For me the best deal would be not to be cremated for many years to come. I think most people would feel the same

Don’t normally post celebrity stuff but today is an exception as it’s the legend and icon Jess Conrads 90th birthday and if it wasn’t for the weather we would have had a kick about in the garden like we used to do for his Showbiz football team🙏
