Ukrainian working class are dying in the trenches. The Ukrainian elite owns the factories/businesses supporting the Ukrainian army. They have a different problem. How on earth can they spend the EU money in Monaco while exercising their Rolls Royces?

NATO should have dissolved with the Warsaw Pact in 1991. The failure to end the bloc politics after the Cold War and instead expand NATO is the source of the war. Hopefully, NATO will now implode, and Europe can overcome bloc politics.
