The only male doctor among those assaulted by a Shiv Sena corporator now fears for his life. Changing his location constantly, he’s getting threats on phone, being followed by unknown people. He and 4 other staff members have now submitted their resignation

The doctors of this country are spineless. Why wasn’t it a fight to the death when you were dragged into the draconian Consumer Act? Are you selling a product? Do you give guarantees of treatment? Can there be any guarantee of the outcome of treatment? Who asks for sex determination? You or the parents who have bad thoughts at the back of their minds? Why should only you be liable under PCPNDT? Most of your colleagues struggle with legal notices and are victims to a very organised cartel of extortion. Because you thought that because people said you’re god - you started acting like one. Don’t be stupid. Beware of people who call you God. Struggle for your rights. You are not selling anything. There is no guarantee of anything.

Maharashtra: "Happy action was taken and she is getting a transfer. We only wanted justice. She is serving people, it's her profession. I am hurt to see this situation, but there is no negligence from the authorities." - Mother of doctor assaulted at civic hospital by Shiv Sena corporator; doctors' body to hold black-ribbon protest

See the amount of trauma that goons have given to doctors of KDMC hospital violence incident Male doctor has left that job & the female doctor is so traumatised, this is what they have done All this corporator instead of increasing NICU beds in hospital in his area, beats doctors
ANI@ANI

#WATCH | Dombivli, Maharashtra: On Shiv Sena Corporator allegedly assaulted medical staff, Sangeeta Baviskar, mother of Dr Srishti Baviskar, says, "My daughter was the on-duty doctor at Shastrinagar Hospital. They determined that the patient—an infant—might require an NICU bed, a facility not available at that hospital. Consequently, they requested a transfer, explaining to the family that the baby needed to be moved to another facility. The family said they would call their 'Dada'. None of the on-duty doctors or staff knew who this 'Dada' was. The patient's relatives then called someone in. Ramesh Mhatre and his associates arrived with a large mob. They barged in, immediately started hurling abuse, and began assaulting the doctors... Who would want to work in such an environment? My daughter handled the situation very bravely, but she is reluctant to return here now. She would prefer to stay away from this kind of atmosphere; she hasn't slept for two or three nights. These people work 48-hour shifts—she was on duty from Sunday morning at 8:00 AM (when the incident occurred) right through to Wednesday morning. It is frightening for doctors; no one would appreciate such a situation. We are currently living in an atmosphere of fear."

#WATCH | Mumbai: On the KDMC Shastrinagar Hospital assault case, Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Aaditya Thackeray says, “I have asked the government and I have asked the Chief Minister to take action not only to arrest that corporator, but also to disqualify him from the post, arrest him and parade him across Dombivli and Kalyan so that everybody knows that you cannot attack anybody like this, especially a doctor or a nurse…the doctors very respectfully asked the pregnant lady to shift to a different hospital so that if the premature baby needs an NICU bed, the lady would get that, because the NICU beds in this hospital were fully occupied. What was the reason for this escalation? The bigger question is, even if the CM wants to arrest this corporator, even if he wants to disqualify this corporator, can he and will he do that…”

Small milestones like this, Means a lot to me.🥺 Just a MBBS intern trying to build an audience! I will keep building, connecting. Uniting the doctors, which is the need of the hour. Meanwhile trying to build a side income, if I'm being honest. Thank you for all the support.🫶

i have no fucking idea how he's holding himself back. I don't think i could've spared the doctor. Ye itna sane kaise hai i have no fucking idea dude. Meri bhi ek choti behen hai, and agar uske saath aisa hota - there's no way i would've been able to hold myself back. Kuch na kuch karke, I would've definitely killed the doctor, the staff and anyone i found involved. I seriously have no idea how he's so sane right now

@Iam_Awaken_ @FalconUpdatesHQ Tere jaise immature log doctor par seedha mar peet karte hai, aur bina kuch samjhe unpar chad jate hai, unki galti nhi hai fir bhi This complication can occur naturally in patient body, not doctor fault Thoda dimag se lena seekho, bolta hai killed doctor, stupid

@Iam_Awaken_ @FalconUpdatesHQ I think that due to spasms caused in that child, reducing airflow it must have caused brain injury and coma, so ventilator might be needed and due to brain injury or other complications, child would have died after few days

@Iam_Awaken_ @FalconUpdatesHQ And regarding injection that doctor give maybe it would be another anesthesia to stop spasms and restore airflow back, which must have caused to fall asleep within 2 to 4 seconds
