Just bought a new PC laptop and it won’t let me use it unless I create a Microsoft account, which also means giving their AI access to my computer! This is messed up.
There used to be an option to skip signing into or creating a Microsoft account.

One of the most beautiful highways in the U.S. that most people have yet to hear of is the Beartooth Highway, part of U.S. Route 212.
Built between 1931 and 1936 as a long approach road to Yellowstone National Park, its approximate elevation rise from 5,200 ft (1,580 m) to 10,947 ft (3,337 m) in twelve miles (19 km) in the most daring landscapes between Wyoming & Montana in a series of steep zigzags and switchbacks.
At this elevation and latitude, snowstorms can occur even in the middle of the summer, and the pass is also known for strong winds and severe thunderstorms.
