@jeezy9z Actually the way I got into Persona is a YTer I liked made videos on P5 when that came out. After about 9 episodes I thought "this looks rad" and bought/played P4G (cuz it was cheaper, I did buy/play P5 like half a year later, didn't watch the rest of LP tho). So I kinda relate

@yoracrab @Varrosguy I remember when my friend and I decided to replay the game on Steam (he used to play it on Xbox, me on PS) and at first we hated the PC controls but found them funny so we stuck with them. Replaying the game again with another friend (new to RE), these controls were second nature

@Varrosguy funny what nostalgia does because to me RE5 is the most fun in the series controls wise, it just clicks for me

i love how in RE5 your crosshair turns red when you aim at the umbrella it’s because umbrella is the enemy haha get it

@KishinTreecks @sphinx_cj Defo not recency bias (lies) but I also recommend Utawarerumono (Prelude at least), albeit it's 80% VN and 20% TRPG (easy where you don't need to worry). And there's the obligatory recommendation of Higurashi and Umineko

@sphinx_cj not really in the vn space so really only danganronpa 1-2 and chaos child. 😭 im down for suggestions though

Fate/stay night - ✅ I'm not a huge fan of visual novels but this one kept me hooked all the way through. Shirou is an incredibly well written protagonist and the soundtrack is beautiful. Definitely recommend it to anyone who's interested!🤍 >>> (don't watch the anime) <<<

@KishinTreecks @ShiningVForce @sphinx_cj I personally recommend that if you're playing the remake instead of OG, it's better to prioritise Mahoyo. It feels like a more complete story (it's not) than Blue Glass Moon

@BurgundyStriker I'd argue the same applies to both P2 openings. While I love the remakes' OPs, I still like OGs way more. Don't really like OG P1 OP tho, it's too lowkey

I like all of their replacements but there's not a single Persona rerelease opening that clears its original. Not a one. Burn My Dread, Pursuing My True Self, and Wake Up, Get Up, Get Out There on top. Generational run.

I fear it may have moved me... Biggest complaint was it should've been way shorter in the start/middle to have better pacing but the last couple of sections were REALLY good, both the story and gameplay overall were better than I was expecting tbh

@TalesOfPlushie The funny thing about that is base game Ys X had a completely different Worm fight that was also not very good But they made it MUCH worse in Proud for absolutely no reason 😭

Falcom has to stop putting worm bosses in games I have yet to see them do one that isn’t dogshit
