Thanks. I'm pro-fasting, but I also think there's something to the Gerson method that has more to do with replenishing the structured water in your body. (They say) Nature structures the water in what it produces, and juicing in this extreme circumstance of having cancer, seems to have an effect that delivers results. I'm sure you're already aware of this perspective, but: amazon.com/Cancer-Biology…

You know what else does this? Stomach acid. Fasting has the same effect :D But sure we can chug artificially juiced regionally-available fruits and vegetables as a fill-in if for some reason fasting isn't available. It is a cool idea, and yes you can supplement with pre-enzymes or proto-enzymes, or even enzymes from fruit/veg. However I find it a bit silly to ignore the normal methods the body goes through for autophagy. Love the podcast btw!

@saewgkg44 You should explore the results of Gerson institutes operating just outside the US. As I said, literally follow whatever conventional protocol you want, but why not *ALSO* add this very easy thing to the stack?

@DaveF1975 @HighersideChats Bruv! This is stellar. I’ve wanted that book - and now I’ve practically read it. Ty. Best damn content on the interwebs. Keep it up Greg! Lets learn it all while we still can. I’ll tell these stories one day, like Tom Hanks character in Cloud Atlas. Subsribe surface dwellers.

Jesse Michels steals missing scientist research from @darkjournalist? Why the hell is @AlchemyAmerican so tied in with Peter Thiel? Is his show funded by Thiel? People say Thiel was even an investor into it. But i personaly have no evidence of that. But there’s this weird story about Michaels meeting him while he was just an intern at The Daily Show, and suddenly he’s getting fast-tracked and pushed forward. And i see more and more people calling him out saying he’s been straightup lifting material from independent researchers like @darkjournalist and twisting it to fit this “alien god” narrative that lines up perfectly with Thiel’s interests. It just feels off. Really off. In the UFO world/Space whatever u wanna call it, we all know disinformation runs way to deep man. When you see billionaire money, old family connections (including the Sam Bankman-Fried stuff), and someone repackaging other people’s hard work into slick videos… you have to ask: what’s the real agenda here? Who actually benefits? I find this is exactly why we need to question everything in this space. Nothing should get a free pass just because it looks professional or has big money behind it. Or the guy is just so Chill and nice. The least these guys can do is give proper credit to the researchers who actually broke the ground of certain topics instead of stealing their material and spinning it. If the research is legit, why hide where it came from? If the connections are innocent, why not be transparent? It pisses me off seeing independent work getting co-opted like this. The truth doesn’t need venture capital or fancy production it really just needs honesty and respect for the people doing the real digging. What do you guys think is really going on? Am I the only one who finds this a lil sketchy?

It's hard to not get sucked into yet another set of threads linking Trump and some sort of time travel/future remote viewing tech. Some of it is dubious, but I can't help but find it really interesting that: -The latest viral loop centers around Twitter. -The Cybertruck seems inspired by the Delorean. -Trump actually bought the Delorean Estate in real life, after all the Biff Tannen stuff. -The Cybertruck bomber's manifesto was about free energy/UFOs. -The Fifa trophy looks just like the Project Looking Glass device from David Wilcock's presentation. Standing in front of a giant Grok/Saturn emblem. It kicks up a notch for me when you have this official transcript from a conference where Michael Kratsios, Trumps pick for director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy actually says: "Our technologies permit us to manipulate time and space. They leave distance annihilated." He also came up working for Peter Thiel. From his Wiki: Education Kratsios graduated from Princeton University with a B.A. in politics and a certificate in Hellenic studies in 2008. Career While in college, Kratsios was an intern for U.S. senator Lindsey Graham and editor-in-chief and president of Business Today. Following his time at Princeton, he worked for Barclays Capital and Lyford Group International, and later served as the chief financial officer of Clarium Capital Management. Prior to joining the Trump administration as deputy assistant to the president, Kratsios was a principal at Thiel Capital and served as chief of staff to entrepreneur and venture capitalist Peter Thiel. ....So where is "technology" in this guy's background? Do they already have the Holy Grail, so it doesn't matter who holds the position? I have a hard time believing time travel is something a human body can survive, but I am open to a form of technology that plays off of the mechanism of remote viewing, I guess? But let's add to it. What do you got?

Your brain has a circuit that doesn't know you live in a city. Its only job is to monitor whether birds are still singing. Right now, in this room, it is on. The circuit predates primates. Mammals have been using ambient soundscape continuity as a predator-detection system for roughly 200 million years. Birds stop singing when something larger moves through their territory. For most of mammalian history, a forest full of song meant no large predator was nearby, and the cessation of sound was the warning. Your nervous system never updated this software. The Max Planck Institute tested the inverse in 2022 with 295 participants. Six minutes of birdsong dropped anxiety with a medium effect size. Six minutes of traffic noise raised depression with the same. The effect worked on subjects who lived in dense urban environments and had no regular contact with nature. The brain still ran the check. Birdsong sits in the 1,000 to 8,000 Hz range. Your brainstem reads continuous patterns in that band as a signal that nothing dangerous is currently moving through the environment. EEG data shows birdsong at 45 to 50 decibels boosts alpha wave activity by 14.1% relative to silence. Alpha is the brainwave signature of relaxed alertness. Push the same birdsong above 60 decibels and the response flips. Stress markers rise 29%. The circuit only trusts the signal at the volume of quiet conversation, which is exactly the volume birds sing at from a typical distance. Three things happen simultaneously when the brain registers ambient safety. The amygdala downregulates. The parasympathetic nervous system takes over from the sympathetic. Heart rate variability rises, cortisol drops. The posterior cingulate cortex, which sits at the center of the rumination circuit, quiets down. King's College London tracked this through a smartphone study with over 1,200 participants and found the mood lift lasted hours after the sound stopped. People diagnosed with depression got the same response as healthy controls. Most of what gets labeled mental fatigue is hypervigilance running in the background. Birdsong tells the circuit it can stand down, and the brain reallocates the freed compute everywhere else. A quiet park feels different from a quiet office because the parks have sentinels.
