At the bairns Saturday morning swim club. Usual gallery of knackered parents on their phones. Apart from one guy shouting at his kid with the anger of someone who's team has had a penalty against them in a derby. Poor fucking kid, can't imagine what their home life is like.

Today is the anniversary of Bloody Sunday. Featured in this mural is Gerard Donaghy, a member of Fianna Éireann, the Provisional IRA’s youth wing, and the only republican killed. The Saville Inquiry said he had a nail bomb on him, which locals reject. This photo Bogside, Derry.

A meeting at Stormont discussed using terrorism laws to tackle displays of paramilitary flags and murals in 2004, declassified files have shown. The papers reveal that a senior PSNI officer stated that “comprehensive caselaw” could be developed in the courts to provide a “clear line between what is acceptable and what is not”.
