Vandaag kwam ik toevallig langs de dikste Schietwilg (Salix alba) van Nederland. De omtrek dit exemplaar is 7,87 meter. Er staan drie van deze reuzen op een rij. De leeftijd is ongeveer 260 jaar. Te vinden op het Gelders Eiland (west van de Bijland)
