@guava_penguin @Renegade17651 It was weirdly confirmed in Batman Beyond. I thought it was weird as a kid. They never pushed it until Bruce Timm wrote a comic about it and I think helped make it a plot point in The Killing Joke animated movie.

A trope that I detest is when the hero has multiple love interests, but ends up with the worst possible option. This is especially infuriating when they had much more organic chemistry with the other love interests, who were also far more interesting characters.
