After the hard work in planing the Oak Soundboard Tables of the Cavaillé-Coll organ from Farnborough Abbey, our plane blades get a much needed regrind using our grinding machine.

The bent, battered and bruised Tuba rank from the Willis III organ in Wandsworth receives some tender loving care in our Metalshop before going to the Reed Voicing Shop to be put back to how it sounded when Guy Weitz first played it in 1929. 2 of 3

In former times before assisted handling and electric trucks & hoists, there was only one way to get a console into a Cathedral. Put more bodies around it and push. Liverpool, Salisbury & St. Paul's London.

The Low Pressure Great Chorus of the Liverpool Philharmonic Organ has been through the voicing shop. Ian Tracey, Chorus Master of the Philharmonic Choir, tries out the revitalised sounds now back on their original pressure (albeit with a small workshop bellows) and proper speech.

The hydraulic water pump waiting to be reinstalled into our 1871 organ. 1 of the few left in the country that can be powered by a water pump like this- altho most of the time it’ll be powered by an electric blower. @HerefordDiocese @AllchurchesT @CofE_Churchcare @HHCTchurches

The pipework has been through the voicing shops and is now back in the organ being tuned. This is the 1868 Thomas C. Lewis organ being restored for the new Laidlaw Music Centre at the University of St. Andrews. @univofstandrews @StAndrewsMusic

We were extremely sad to hear yesterday of the sudden death of concert organist Jane Parker-Smith. She was a wonderful performer and will be greatly missed.

All-new metal conveyancing for the Walker organ in St Michael and All Angels' Church, Moccas, Herefordshire. A giant 3D jigsaw puzzle! The original metal conveyancing was scrapped and replaced with corrugated cardboard in 1971. #traditionalskills #doingittheproperway

I am pleased to be back on site working on tonal regulation of this 1971 GDB organ. The pipework required a lot of attention on the voicing machine, as it was badly damaged after years of cone tuning. The voicing is "Open Foot", meaning all the regulation is done at the mouth.

The voicing of our historic Father Willis organ begins today. It will take around 6 weeks to make sure each pipe (there are nearly 4,000 in total) is sounding as it should. 📢 🎹
