@AllHailDanda @mccartneysleafs @draculatreat I believe the American audience is really hard to conquer, they're much more used to American bands. A lot of important British/Irish bands didn't really make it. I'm glad to know the reception was much better the second time, they were really working hard for it. 😊

@IntoWhiteness @mccartneysleafs @draculatreat Damn, I wouldn't have thought it'd be their first proper American tour 4 albums in. Glad people were being introduced to them and were liking it enough to ask for more info, but as a big fan it was maddening that they weren't getting much love. Far better reception the 2nd time.

I remember reading an article in which Alex talks about working very hard to conquer the crowds, and by the end of the tour they managed to play to really enthusiastic new Arctic Monkeys' fans.

It was before AM and I had the people around me asking me who they even were because I was the only one in our area acting as you should when they're on stage.

@draculatreat Isso. Aliás achei isso no tumblr e é perfeito. Infelizmente no próprio fandom existe essa teoria que o Alex é simplesmente um fanboy do Julian, que passa seus dias em profunda admiração, mal pode esperar pelo próximo lançamento, etc:

They've never been enthusiastic talkers anyway, it's just the way they are. Imagine being unhappy that a genius composer is leading your band, lol, yeah I bet they're mad. 😂

@draculatreat There’s plenty of videos out there of other band members being asked about the musical direction and them looking off just saying stuff like “yea Idk that’s just Alex”. AT is one of my favorite songwriters ever but Matt Helders is criminally underused since Humbug.
