In this meta-analysis of 174 randomized controlled trials in 11,481 participants, carbohydrate-restricted diets improved systolic blood pressure (−2.05 mmHg), diastolic blood pressure (−1.26 mmHg), triglycerides (−15.11 mg/dL), HDL cholesterol (+2.92 mg/dL), BMI (−0.72), body weight (−1.75 kg or −3.9 lbs), and apolipoprotein B (−0.03 g/L), with a slight increase in LDL cholesterol (+4.81 mg/dL) and a slight reduction in lean body mass (−0.3 kg): pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/40935153
