No, there can be a deescalation, but it has to start with all democrats who have ever used the term fascist, Nazi, or Hitler, to publicly denounce that use, apologize, and give the definition of “far right” as free markets. Further say that free market believers also believe in limited government scope and power across the spectrum. Far right would mean as limited as possible. They further need to give the definition that fascism requires nearly total government power and scope. Fascism stopped short of socialism, but implemented it through regulation. “A public private partnership” as they called it. Nazis were literally the national socialist German workers party. The idea of calling the right fascist came from the communist party and the enemies of the Soviet Union (the axis powers in wwii, expanded to anyone who opposed communism afterwards.). If they can say all that, then we can hold back on the use of the word lunatic. Until such time, yes, only a lunatic can believe that fascists were “far right”
