@p_kittel @coach_tack Some context: It has been worked on and defeated since 2014. They wanted something to not get sued by private schools but fix privates dominating state tournaments in some sports. When they passed it after covid the membership schools passed it at 70% approval. It needs work.

@coach_tack @JoeDonaldRaygor Amery is going to have to move up to D1 in hockey next year while New Richmond can move back down. I can’t imagine that’s what the WIAA had in mind when they came up with the plan. At least I hope not

Pushing Coleman High School (enrollment 200 students) up to Division 1 for Wrestling without having won a State Title in over 5 years is exactly what's wrong with the "Competative Balance" system......

@coach_tack I could live with that. I wouldn't mind a 5 year window at a higher point total. I think state title should matter to how up two divisions.

@JoeDonaldRaygor I like the..... 1) Private school continue to live under the current point system and time frame. 2) Public schools need to reach 8 points AND a State Title in the same 3 year time window.

@coach_tack lol my bad. *Spring concert... competitive balance does work for some sports. Wrestling and cross country seem to not be working as it was designed. Membership needs to ask for it to go back to a vote or to each coaches associations for some tweaks...

@TravisBOUND I think your study would find club VB. We started a girls wrestling program and I was curious how many girls would crossover from bb to wrestling. We have 14 girls in our HS wrestling roster, girls BB has around 17. 1 or 2 of ours played bb in the youth but majority didn't.

I will continue to beat the drum that the number one issue facing high school basketball in Wisconsin is the sharply decreasing girls basketball participation numbers. It needs attention, it needs study, it needs resources to identify reasons and solutions. #wisgb

@ZEvenEsh Last year we saw a lot of shoulder injuries. Not sure the exact root of the cause, I kinda think not enough body armour built up on the guys. Seems like upper body gets demonized if it's not "sports performancey" enough. Any pointers?

Then all schools would know ahead of time.

@HeartONorthGuy1 You may not be emotionally attached to either school but you clearly are emotionally attached about head to head criteria that wasn't used in their Algorithm.

First I’m getting some hate from SCF and I got called a NW homer well didn’t go to NW, and I have been critical of NW many times in the past. I just call it like I see it. I didn’t go to either school so Im not emotionally attached to this like most people are who are commenting

I think it’s time to compare the seasons of SCF & NW and see how it stacks up #HON #HONFootball
