Akhmed Yakoob Arrested for Racially Abusing Police Officer. TikTok lawyer Akhmed Yakoob, known for his problematic legal advice and outspoken anti-west, pro-Palestine activism, was arrested last night during a pro-Iran demonstration in Birmingham. West Midlands Police detained the 38 year old antisemite at 6pm on Hospital Street on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offence. Video clips circulating online show him being led away by officers. Officers have debunked rumours linking the arrest to an earlier March 5 incident on the same street, where an Israeli flag was burned and chants of death to the IDF and bomb Tel Aviv were observed. The police have stated the flag-burning incident is seperate investigation and remains active. Yakoob was bailed pending further investigation into the racial abuse allegation. Footage from Akhmed Yakoob's livestream during the March 5 protest, the same day as the flag-burning incident, has circulated online, the footage shows a black police officer being racially abused with no immediate action taken, this arrest may be linked to that incident. Yakoob built his TikTok following with catchphrases like there’s a defence for every offence, while supporting pro-Palestine causes and appearing at controversial protests. Yakoob has pro-Islamist leanings and flirts with antisemitism regularly, his participation in the March 5 vigil at Birmingham's Imam Reza Cultural Centre mourning Iran's late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was an event attended by regime supporters where an Israeli flag was torched and chants of Allahu Akbar and bomb, bomb Tel Aviv were heard. Yakoob's controversial past statements include, Zionism is a fascist ideology, Zionists control everything, he was chosen by Allah to challenge the Zionist regime and Muslims can't be antisemitic. He has repeatedly insisted anti-Zionism is distinct from antisemitism, but campaign groups and media outlets have labelled such rhetoric as anti-Jewish hatred. He has also run as an independent in elections, finishing third in the West Midlands mayoral race and second in Birmingham Ladywood and has represented high-profile clients. He briefly represented the two brothers in the 2024 Manchester Airport brawl, where a female police officer was punched in the face and suffered a broken nose. He quit the case once CCTV footage showed they attacked first, claiming the media focus had shifted to him rather than police misconduct. More seriously, Yakoob faces a major legal battle ahead. He and accountant Nabeel Afzal were charged by the National Crime Agency in May 2025 with money laundering offences, including acquiring criminal property, encouraging money laundering and failing to apply customer due diligence. The pair are accused of helping launder millions in cash between February 2020 and January 2021. Both deny the allegations, with Yakoob claiming they are politically motivated attempts to silence his activism, a narrative he has echoed in repeated public spats with activist Tommy Robinson. A trial date is set for August 23, 2027, at Southwark Crown Court for this case. West Midlands Police have reiterated their position: "We respect people’s right to protest and express views, without intimidating individuals, communities or breaking the law. We are committed to ensuring the West Midlands is a safe place for everyone to live, work and visit." With the racial abuse inquiry continuing, the separate flag-burning case unresolved and his money laundering trial in 2027, the TikTok lawyer remains firmly on the police's radar. Islam is Not a Religion of Peace 1. 18,000 deadly terror attacks committed explicitly in the name of Islam in just the last ten years.  (Other religions combined for perhaps a dozen or so.) 2. And that's just the fate of those within the house of Islam! 5. Muhammad directed Muslims to wage war on other religions and bring them into submission to Islam.  Within the first few decades following his death, his Arabian companions invaded and conquered Christian, Jewish, Hindu, Buddhist and Zoroastrian lands. A mere 25 years after Muhammad's death, Muslim armies had captured land and people within the modern borders of over 28 countries outside of Saudi Arabia. 6. Muslims continued their Jihad against other religions for 1400 years, checked only by the ability of non-Muslims to defend themselves.  To this day, not a week goes by that Islamic fundamentalists do not attempt to kill Christians, Jews, Hindus and Buddhists explicitly in the name of Allah.  None of these other religions are at war with each other. 7. Islam is the only religion that has to retain its membership by formally threatening to kill anyone who leaves.  This is according to the example set by Muhammad. 8. Islam teaches that non-Muslims are less than fully human.  Muhammad said that Muslims can be put to death for murder, but that a Muslim could neverbe put to death for killing a non-Muslim. 9. The Quran never once speaks of Allah's love for non-Muslims, but there are hundreds of verses that speak of Allah's cruelty toward and hatred of non-Muslims. 10. “Allahu Akbar!  Allahu Akbar!  Allahu Akbar!"  (The last words from the cockpit of Flight 93)
