I’m also not massively sold on Alonso coming in, I most defiantly don’t want to watch 3 at the back & worry he struggled at Madrid, still another gamble for me

🚨 Virgil Van Dijk on the Liverpool fans leaving the stadium early: “I can understand that. Obviously they have been going through ups and downs lately as well. And obviously we would love for them to stay until the end but if we are 4-0 down and the way we played in the second half, then I can understand the anger. Obviously at my time at Liverpool, we have been going through tough times and at the moment it’s a tricky one as well.”

I think this season has proved what a lot of us believed at the time - last season was more about Klopp than it was Slot and he’s then dismantled everything Klopp built

🚨 Dominik Szoboszlai: “I don't know. When you do something and there is no result for it it makes no sense. We had chances and missed them, we conceded an easy penalty. We lose 4-0. We cannot concede as much as we concede. Nothing else to say.”

Slot's message to the fans: "We don’t want them to leave early. We have to perform better. We have to show now that we react after a loss like this. After all the disappointments we've had this season the fans have always been supportive and they were even today. "They were very loud in the first half. It is up to us to react for them and for ourselves. We need to play like we did for the first 35 minutes but in moments of defending we need to be much more ruthless."

Virgil Van Dijk on the Champions League: “Very important to try and get [this loss] out of the system. At the moment I can only speak for myself, this is a big blow. It’s tough to take, especially the way. The reality is mid-week there’s a very good PSG waiting for us.”
