My grandmother had a Betamax VCR, and the local video store had maybe 40 movies in that format, and this was one of them. I still remember how hard we all laughed when we saw this the first time. It is just so silly and out-of-pocket. I love it.

@BlairHealt68622 @NASA @ship_29 is correct. Because of the lack of atmosphere the areas of the moon that fall into darkness are something like negative 200 degrees Fahrenheit and it would have disrupted line-of-sight comms.

@BlairHealt68622 @NASA Because the images in which you can see the stars are those where the lunar body is blocking the sun, at least partially. The Apollo mission landing sites were facing the sun, thus the stars are washed out.
