@InvestingAddict I'm 54 and have been plowing money into the SP 500 since my first job out of college. Continous dollar cost averaging for decades. Never sold a single share. How should I feel about all time highs?

Can someone explain to me why 20 year olds with $2,000 invested want the market to hit all time highs?

@matt_goodheart 2 outs runner on second, no runner on first. Ball hit to SS or 3rd. Runner on second is not forced to run. Do not run into the tag. He should let the guy throw and then go.

Just for fun, I’ve decided to put together 5 myths I wish we could move on from regarding coaching baseball especially at the youth ages. Here they are, if you’re interested in any particular one… comment down below. 1. You have to throw over the top and “stay on top”. 2. Stepping open or closed while hitting is inherently bad. 3. Curveballs are harder on the arm than other pitches. 4. Good hitters “squish the bug”. They don’t! 5. “Use your legs” is a good cue. That’s what I got so far.

This is a top-tier program in college athletics… and look at the numbers. Football: +$57M Almost every other sport: operating at a loss Now understand this — if a program like this is barely breaking even overall, what do you think is happening across the rest of the country? Most athletic departments are running in the red. Athletics still matters. It builds culture, discipline, opportunity, and identity for a school. But the reality is shifting. Revenue is driving decisions more than ever. The gap is growing. And if programs aren’t aligned, efficient, and creating value… hard decisions are coming.

@NajamAli2020 Because oil is now being paid for in Yuan, which threarens the future of the PetroDollar. Trump's blockade gambit is risky though, because markets are likely to panic upon learning of this news, and it will all but kill the ceasefire.

I am genuinely struggling to understand this logic. If the rest of the world is willing to pay a small toll to Iran to keep oil flowing and stabilise markets, then why does the U.S. feel the need to block all shipping, especially when it is not dependent on that oil?

@ReOpenChris You'd think he'd have more important things to worry about. Florida doesn't have to import the 3rd World.

@KobeissiLetter That doesn't make any sense. Thats basically like US giving Iran a break before they get their ass kicked again. Its just allowing Iran to keep doing what the US was bombing for in the first place. I dont get it.

BREAKING: The two-week ceasefire plan between the Iran and the US allows Iran and Oman to charge fees on ships transiting through the Strait of Hormuz, per CNN. A regional official said this money would be used for the reconstruction of Iran. Iran has been recently charging $2 million for a one-way voyage through the Strait of Hormuz.

@CoachMarcusHill Played with a guy in College (in the 80’s) who threw 93 mph smoke. He got lit up like a Christmas tree every outing because he had no movement or placement. He transferred to DIII.

One of the most talented and athletic pitchers ive ever coached (92-95mph at 17) is redshirting (the right call) this year for a mid major with a losing record for command issues. Not stuff issues. Command issues. Velo might get you in the uniform. Command gets you in the games.

@Pronate @zachTNT Im no pro....but arm looks very late. Arm is not even close to being up at foot plant. All he has left at the end is his arm, which creates excessive arm layback which puts pressure on the elbow.

Any baseball people out there: My middle schooler was working on some pitching stuff and I’m wondering if his back leg moving just before he starts his motion is a balk. Some of the balk rules will forever be confusing to me, and they rarely seem black and white.

Many reasons my eyes don’t get big and we should never get ahead of ourselves: Seen “superstar” 11 & 12 year olds end up being average HS players and never play beyond that. Seen “too small” and “too weak” 11 & 12 year olds end up being HS standouts who get opportunity at the next level. While the early bloomers are “exciting” man, I love a late bloomer story. Witnessed so many over the years. The determination and grit these kids have to have and development is invaluable.
