Why Hindu unity is hard to achieve, Exhibit A: 1. Tamil Labs counters a neo-Buddhist trying to demean Hinduism's antiquity, with a harmless post about Sankara's opposition to Buddhists 2. Techie from a non-Sankara Sampradaya, ignores all context and swoops in with his gyaan about Sankara being a Prasanna Buddha and more subtle "remarks" about Sankara's guru as well. 3. Why should somebody make such remarks unprovokedly? You can bring in your philosophical remarks in a philosophical debate, but is this one? 4. What sort of mindset blinds one from seeing that this particular battle is one of Vaidika vs Avaidika sampradayas? And if this is how even a founder/techie based out of US thinks, what is to say of the common man? 5. We blame Hindu kings of the past for infighting when the enemies were at the door, but we do the same thing in different ways today.
