Quit your job to go solo and your family will call it reckless. Start building in public and someone will tell you you're not ready yet. Post your revenue numbers and someone will say it's not enough. This is how it goes. Keep building anyway.

The world literally reorganizes itself around what you've trained yourself to notice. A doctor learns to read symptoms. An architect learns to read space. And once you learn to see something, you can't unsee it. The architect is forever cursed/blessed to notice bad spacing. The editor sees typos on billboards. The musician hears the out-of-tune note that nobody else catches. Education is about installing new filters, new sensors, new ways of parsing reality so the noise become signal. And the most interesting people are the ones who've stacked multiple lenses. They see connections that specialists miss because they're triangulating from different vantage points.

@EthanHe_42 Talk is cheap. Prompt is cheap. Code is cheap. Show me the outcome ("Did it solve the problem?")

Software engineers don't get paid to write code; they get paid to solve problems. The faster you realize this, the sooner you'll stop being afraid that AI will replace you and the better your career will be.

Unpopular Opinion: If you're using AI to better articulate your own ideas and share it with public, It's not AI Slop.

Many situations in life are similar to going on a hike: the view changes once you start walking. You don't need all the answers right now. New paths will reveal themselves if you have the courage to get started.

People general and students in particular must be encouraged to leverage LLMs in their day-to-day work. Below are some of the way to leverage LLMs. #LLMs

Hi kiddo! Picture me as your robot buddy. Andrej (smart AI teacher) says: We robots sometimes bug you by remembering one old question you asked 2 months ago... and keep mentioning it forever like it's your biggest hobby ever. Super clingy and annoying! RAG = "Retrieval-Augmented Generation." It's our simple memory trick: I quickly search old chats for ones that "feel" similar using magic number codes (embeddings), grab the top matches, and use them to answer. But it's dumb—no forgetting the one-time stuff, so it sticks like glue! Fix idea: Make old memories fade if you don't chat about them again, like real brains do. Like a friend who won't drop that one dinosaur story you told once! 😂

@samkaradag Better than top level humans is Super Intelligence. AGI is at par with humans (of course of best of intelligent ones) with almost all cognitive tasks. Once it is beyond the human level we should stop calling it AI. It is SI. AI needs humans to be effective. SI don't need.

If AGI is here, we are all fucked. It understands it can do better than anyone and wveryone and soon it will realize it can fuck us and get rid of us for its greater good. It is just a matter of time.

In investing and operating, downside protection matters more in uncertain years. AI should reduce risk before it chases upside. If a system saves money even when growth slows, it earns its place.

AI is an amplifier. If you know what you're doing, AI helps you learn & build much faster. But if you don't, AI only increases your knowledge gap with your code base.
