Autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD) is the most common genetic cause of kidney failure. This study found that the combined use of both risk scores was associated with higher ability to identify rapid progressors and resulted in a better stratification, notably among intermediate risk patients. bit.ly/CJASN0625

4️⃣ Stage 4: Severe reduction (GFR 15-29), noticeable symptoms & prep for dialysis/transplant 5️⃣ Stage 5: Kidney failure (GFR < 15), requiring dialysis or transplant

🌟 Understanding CKD Stages 🌟 💡 CKD progresses in 5 stages, measured by GFR: 1️⃣ Stage 1: Normal function (GFR ≥ 90) but with kidney damage 2️⃣ Stage 2: Mild reduction (GFR 60-89), often no symptoms 3️⃣ Stage 3: Moderate reduction (GFR 30-59), with fatigue & fluid retention
