Høiby claimed he does not remember the details of the night but insisted the encounters were consensual.

W opuszczonej wiosce Łubianka jeszcze nieco ponad dekadę temu żyło 20 samosiołów a ostatni opuścił to miejsce dopiero zimą 2019 roku - była to Olga Juszczenko, której regularnie pomagaliśmy, przyjeżdżając wielokrotnie w ciągu roku z produktami i rąbiąc drewno na opał. Po wszystkich tych ludziach zostały dobrze zachowane chaty: zarówno pod względem technicznym, jak i zawartości. W jednej można znaleźć dziesiątki książek, w innej rodzinne fotografie a w jeszcze innej dokumenty. Niestety, wioska stała się częstym przystankiem dla stalkerów, którzy śpią tu po drodze do Prypeci zostawiając za sobą śmieci i podpisy na ścianach. Na szczególną uwagę zasługuje ulica Nowa w Łubiance. Wciąż nie zarosła i praktycznie wszystkie chaty leżące wzdłuż niej noszą ślady życia samosiołów. Po ewakuacji w 1986 roku wróciło tu ich na tyle dużo, że jedną z chat przerobiono nawet na wiejską przychodnię. Niestety, brakuje dokładnych danych ilu. Wiadomo, że przed ewakuacją żyło tu 612 osób. Co ciekawe, w Łubiance znajdowała się kiedyś drewniana cerkiew. Była tu także niewielka szkoła podstawowa, poczta, sklep, kołchoz a w 1984 roku wybudowano niewielki dom kultury (w 2018 roku zawalił się jego dach). Obok niego znajdują się dwa pomniki bohaterów Wielkiej Wojny Ojczyźnianej, które noszą ślady remontów dokonywanych długo po ewakuacji. Niestety, od lat nie ma kto o nie dbać i powoli się sypią. Na jednym z nich znajdują się nazwiska mieszkańców tej wioski, którzy zginęli w trakcie działań wojennych - w większości przypadków to te same, powtarzające się nazwiska, całe rodziny. Cztery z nich noszą nazwisko Juszczenko. Aktualnie jedynymi mieszkańcami Łubianki są dzikie krowy pozostałe po umarłych samosiołach. Jedną z nich niedawno ratowaliśmy z tarapatów, ale o tym napiszemy w oddzielnym poście.
