The New South Wales government has outlined a new vision for Sydney, one that sees the city as a 24-hour economy but it won't be confined to traditional night time hotspots like Kings Cross. 7NEWS.com.au #7NEWS

The NSW Govt is announcing a plan to kickstart the 24-hr economy today. We’ve been part of group that’s been working with them for the last 8 months. The plan includes many of the policies our followers called for back in 2016 — a major win for Sydney! #nswpol #keepsydneyopen

Of course, we will be keeping a close eye on the progress of State Government over the coming months and do what we can to assist groups with taking advantage of the plan. It’s the end of a very long journey for us as we look to further improve our communities in the future! ❤️

A ‘Neon Grid’ will map existing and emerging 24-hour precincts, encouraging growth in those areas and look at ways to connect them across Sydney.

The report recommends the ‘liquor freeze’ be kept in place. We will continue to fight this and fight the continuation of the lockouts in Kings Cross.

There are recommendations to create an office to oversee the night-time economy and scope out 24-hour transport on weekends. This is what KSO asked for when we first began.
