That used to be me but some idiots were adamant on adding logos to the graphics so couldn't be arsed with it anymore

@Jay29ers If that's the match shirt, I guess the front numbers will be heavily outlined or this one's just used for promotional purposes

@Jay29ers That was the same with the tie-dye Norway away shirt of the time. Their replicas kept the pattern but the player issued ones were plain on the back

@Jay29ers The Croatia home in 2002 and the Netherlands away in 2006 had a patch for the front numbers so I guess the officials do need some greater legibility. But here's what the Croats wore in the 2002 World Cup finals and Euro 2004 qualifying

@Jay29ers Front numbers are there for aesthetics. There's no issue telling players apart at club level

I'm not saying anything here, but he was heading to the Middle East last week 🤷🏻‍♂️

@museumofjerseys It's in the FA Cup rules that teams can use an additional kit besides their registered ones in the competition but you mentioned in an old piece about Arsenal in the 1960s, there was a different registration process with the Football Association and the Football League

@JimHearson @TheShirtUnion It looks like there's more of a difference with the officials' uniform as their yellow is leaning on the green side than red, but there's a possibility they were planned to wear black

@TheShirtUnion Did the officials need to go to the shops, though? Blue and orange options wouldn't do, and you wouldn't think they'd bring gold or fluorescent yellow so as not to clash with Atleti's supposed keeper kit. That would just leave them with black.
