Seoul city bus union have overwhelmingly voted to strike from tomorrow, suspending 98% of city bus services. While the minibus (마을버스) and the metro will continue to run, major disruption is expected.

The countdown is on! The first GTX-A section between Dongtan-Suseo opens on March 30, with full-scale test runs starting today for the next twenty days. MOLIT has also signed an agreement with 6 local governments to progress the proposed GTX A-C extensions. Stay tuned for more!


You may have seen that Seoul will be trialing seatless subway cars on lines 4 and 7 from Jan next year. Only two cars per train will be replaced with these, with plans to expand further if successful. Surprised that there are no center poles which some other subway cars do have.
