I spent time conferencing with several students during reading workshop today. I loved seeing the transfer from our read aloud book and mini lessons to their independent work. ❤️

My third graders rocked their first week of Book Clubs. Their conversations centered around their main character’s traits and problems. Predictions were based off of patterns they noticed in their characters. Teacher ♥️ happy.

I spent the afternoon prepping for Book Clubs. Tomorrow I will introduce Book Clubs to my third graders. 📚

We are studying patterns we see in characters to drive our predictions. A few Ss needed a little extra help so out came one of my favorite picture books to use in a strategy group.

Found some inspiration for my next reading unit this morning. It also gave me a new perspective as well. ❤️

A special thanks to my husband for joining me on my Teams meetings a few days ago. He needed some help with his reading fluency, and my expert third graders were eager to help him out.

Coming to you live, Ss used their vocabulary words to report on Winter Storm Gail today. I know my go-to winter weather sources from now on.

This little girl decided to sing her assignment. I’m not going to lie I loved every second of it. It brought a big smile to face. P.S. I commented on her beautiful voice, but she did have to do it again.

I love getting messages like this from my students. This little guy loves Roz from The Wild Robot and made a connection while playing a video game. It makes my teacher ♥️ happy when my students fall in love with this book. @itspeterbrown #thewildrobot
