Disney has been recycling animated content to live-action for so long (to double dip and milk more money out of its IP). Chatgpt just turned the tables by recycling live-action to animated content and everyone loses their minds? #ChatGPT #studioghibli #Disney

Fortunately or unfortunately, nuclear proliferation has done more for world peace than the principle of collective security and once again we are witnessing that principle break, only time will tell, to what end? #Trump #Zelenskyy #EuropeanUnion

Historically, the US has been an unreliable ally to most countries because America always came first for itself, no matter the cost to others. The Third World has known this for almost a century. The First World, however, is only just finding out now.

Meanwhile, in India, where we already have upto 49% quota based reservation, Govts and Political Parties are further toying with the idea of increasing it to beyond the court appointed ceiling of 50% in govt and introducing reservation in private sector. God save our country.

Gone are the days when people would flex muscles to see who is the better of them, now people even whole communities prefer to trade victim cards. They contest each other to prove who is the most persecuted of the lot. Oh, how human aspirations have fallen!

@ApostateProphet Will the real Indigenous people of this earth please stand up? Ironically, it turns out that all of us may stake claim to be the "original inhabitants" only until someone turns back one more page of the history book and then we may find ourselves to be the "settlers".

The notion that the Jews are settlers and that Palestinian Arabs are the natives is false. It is a politically motivated revisionism of the demographic history. Both Jews and non-Jews lived in the region forever. The Zionist movement and migration did not create but rather increase the already existing Jewish population. The Palestinian Arabs were not known as "Palestinians" up until the 20th century and are a mix of different populations including the ancient inhabitants of the land, Arabs, Sub-Saharan Africans, etc. People in the region identified themselves by their religions and places of origin, not their genetics or nationalities. Nationality was not really a concept until recent times. So, even calling them Arabs is technically not entirely accurate. People who converted to Islam throughout the centuries came to be known as Muslims, and the Arabization of the land through conquest and migration led to the Arabization of all kinds of different people, which is how the genetically mixed people came to be known as Arabs. Long story short: There is no indigenous population and a replacement or colonization thereof, at least not exclusively on the Jewish side. Both jews and non-Jews existed and they both have the right to live and thrive there. Unfortunately it is one side that has been very much against this throughout the last century and they continue to be against it: The Arab side.

When a political outfit is the duly elected government of a people for over 15 years, can we still really claim that it does not represent the will of its people? aljazeera.com/amp/news/2023/…

@aniket_sule While I knew about Russell's Teapot analogy, still, thanks for bringing the article to my attention, sir. It certainly makes for an interesting read.

scientificamerican.com/article/silent… You know who was the pioneer of Ion based flight technology? Shivkar Bapuji Talpade. Sadly, the western as well as modern Indian scientists have never accepted the feasibility of his designs/technology or given him any real credit.

What is speciesism? A misguided belief that one species is more important than another. Help us end speciesism by treating all animals in a compassionate and respectful way. #EndSpeciesism

@kidofmisfortune While the show has scored points for representation, unfortunately it is also a great attempt at whitewashing history. The two nation theory was not "an idea some old englishmen had". It was a an idea some old muslimmen had - The men of the All India Muslim League.

While no doubt Ukrainians deserve our support in their hour of crisis, even more so do such Russians who have risked their lives and livelihoods to protest against the Russian government's war measures. That requires another kind of courage.
