@SurreyNews Mark represented the neighbouring division to my own. We worked together on a number of joint issues. He was a great councillor, always fighting for his residents, and a good friend. He was remarkably positive until the end. He will be missed.

We are sad to announce the death of Mark Sugden, County Councillor for Hinchley Wood, Claygate & Oxshott. Since his election in 2021 Mark worked tirelessly & passionately for his community. His passing is a tremendous loss to all who knew him. Our thoughts are with Mark's family.

I have been sent a video which has truly shocked me and my fellow Councillors. A clip of the Leader of Waverley BC asking officers to change a report in favour of a certain outcome in respect of Surrey unitary discussions. The CEO responds “this had already been done. “

The #M25 has been closed by @HighwaysSEAST between J10 at Wisley and J11 at Chertsey until 6am on Monday 10 March. Roads around the diversion route are likely to be busy. Check your journey on travel apps before leaving.

🚨 The sinkhole in Godstone has been declared a Major Incident by local agencies in Surrey. A25 Godstone High Street closed whilst investigations are being carried out. Please continue to avoid the area and use an alternative route.
