Open sourcing legal forms provides public benefit in access to a free starting point and efficiency in standardization, and also improves the product through peer review and diversified adaptations.
Like code, commenting can be used to explain intention and context.

Agree with this from @erichdylus - most law firms copy or use each others’ docs anyway - particularly where docs are filed in court. But they are copied and amended without thought as to why drafting was there in the first place so learning and knowledge is not shared.
