There are less Muslims in Iran than official tallies report. As it’s pretty much illegal to renounce your Muslim faith as it’s certain death, anyone who decides they are not Muslim at heart any more will not officially declare that. It’s probably less than 50% now and dropping. If Iran is liberated, you will find the drop will increase exponentially as people resort back to Zoroastrian or non religious. Jesus did respect the Sabbath, but he did like to do some of his miracles during the sabbath as there is a difference between the written law and the spoken law. The Pharisees added so much to the Sabbath law that did not exist in the Torah. I don’t accept the Talmud as it’s not the word of God like the Torah is. The Talmud is mainly used by Orthodox Jews. This is the writing down of the oral rules they believe was given to Moses for living a true Jewish life. Jesus did not respect the oral traditions.

I wish people would remember that. When Christians curse the Jewish people, they curse Jesus. He was born a Jew, he lived his life as a Jew and he died a Jew. His Jewish Apostles and his Jewish (mostly) followers spread the word to many countries, all living in the Jewish tradition while they did it. It’s men that made up the word Christianity. Jesus called himself The Lamb of God and admitted he was the Messiah.

Tonight, my family celebrates Passover. My dad-in-law is Jewish and grew up in the synagogue. After Jason and I started dating, Jason became a Christian, and then his dad, and then his mom. Tonight, my dad in law will read the Scriptures to us in Hebrew, just like Jesus would have heard them. We’ll celebrate the Lord’s Supper, and it will be an actual Supper, with roast lamb, latkes, matzoh ball soup, bread, and wine. Maybe not exactly what Jesus would have had, but close. Tomorrow is Good Friday. “And when the hour came, he reclined at table, and the apostles with him. And he said to them, “I have earnestly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer. For I tell you I will not eat it until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.” And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he said, “Take this, and divide it among yourselves. @rabbriansamuel I never thought about it that way. Good question. Allah is not God - but a false god, an idol. Per our OT commands, we cannot eat halal meat.

Halal meat is slaughtered according to Islamic law, and a blessing is spoken in the name of Allah. Should Christians avoid halal meat? Does this count as "meat sacrificed to idols"?
