The protocol can be upgraded, if needed, to be quantum resistant. If people choose not to make the necessary measures to protect their coins, that’s on them. We shouldn’t make sweeping decisions on behalf of others and parent them. If my private keys are generated with bad entropy and someone else generates the exact same keys, are they “my” keys? That’s essentially what a quantum computer would be doing and already happens.

@LiveFreeBTC Why are so called “bitcoiners” in favor of breaking the basic moral and technical principles of the network? Not your keys not your coins - unless you have a quantum computer, in which case all the coins are yours.

The cleanest way to “freeze” quantum-insecure coins is just to sunset *all P2PK UTXOs at a defined block height.* Give Satoshi and anyone else, say, 3-5 years to move them. If they haven’t moved to quantum resilient addresses by then, they are assumed to have been lost or forfeited by their owners. Nothing wrong with sunsetting old network components that present vulnerabilities. This gets rid of the “confiscation” language. It’s a technical bug fix/security upgrade.

The CEO of Krafton (creator of PUBG) asked ChatGPT to create a "corporate takeover strategy" to prevent a company they acquired from hitting a revenue target within a certain time window (which would trigger an additional payout). ChatGPT (against his lawyer's advice) suggested locking down the acquired companies Steam account to prevent them from publishing Subnautica 2 in the time window, which the CEO of Krafton followed. ChatGPT's advice did not hold up at trial and the judge was not happy. The opinion is a wild read and includes several direct quotes from the Krafton CEO's ChatGPT conversation. I feel like it's gonna take a few more high profile examples like this until executives start realizing that conversations with ChatGPT are not privileged and you probably shouldn't describe your questionably legal schemes to them in detail!

When screenshots of Trump from Truth Social are posted on X, I often have to check to see if they're real or not. Some of the stuff he posts borders on parody. It's generally hysterical though. When I saw this posted on X last night, I scrolled right by. I didn't even consider it could possibly be real. It was simply too ridiculous and I was convinced it had to be fake. It's currently 5 AM and I woke up to my dog barking at something outside. I glanced at my phone and I saw that it was real. I don't know what to say. I know he has said over and over that he doesn't believe he's earned his way into heaven. Stuff like this is a good way in make sure he's correct. This is so insanely disrespectful and I legitimately have no idea why he thought this was a good idea

Stefan Molyneux has been in Bitcoin since the early years and has spent decades breaking down power from first principles and speaking truth to power. Whether you love him or hate him, these 9 facts/stories he shared in the show will change how you see the world forever. 👇 1) THE ABILITY TO PRINT MONEY IS THE ABILITY TO PRINT DEATH. In WWI, countries were broke by late 1914. Central banking allowed them to turn a 3-month conflict into a 4-year catastrophe, raising the death toll from 800k to 22M. 2) OFFENSIVE WARS REQUIRE FIAT. No population would voluntarily sign a $20,000 check and send their kids to die for a war on the other side of the world. Government must steal that value through inflation because they can’t get it through consent. 3) WE ARE LIVING IN A "VAMPIRIC CIVILIZATION." In the U.S., people 65+ receive ~$44,000/year in government funding, while those under 18 receive only ~$4,000. We are literally consuming the future of our children to pay for the present. 4) FIAT CURRENCY IS A PSYCHOSIS. It detaches society from cause and effect. It creates the illusion that you can consume without producing, dissolving the fundamental math that keeps a civilization sane. 5) BITCOIN IS THE "NON-VIOLENT" REVOLUTION. Today, AI and CBDCs allow for infinite surveillance and punishment without a single human finger being lifted. 7) INFLATION IS THE "HIDDEN" HOME-WRECKER. By diluting the currency, the state forces both parents into the workforce just to survive, effectively breaking the bond between parent and child for the sake of "debt-service." 8) THE IRAN "SEISMIC" SHIFT. Iran is already shifting international settlements to Bitcoin because they’ve been locked out of the legacy banking system (SWIFT). Once people realize it works, the demand for the USD will crater. 9) WE ARE IN A "MODERN DARK AGE." Despite our tech, we haven't seen a new Einstein or Shakespeare in a century. Why? Because art, science, and biology now all go through the soul-crushing lens of political power.
