@mrningst4r @TVSportsUpdates Because 12 over 5 upsets happen nearly 40% of the time which is barely an upset at that point. The only 12 over 5 this year was HPU over Wisconsin who have been extremely poor against lower seeds in recent tournaments so how much of an upset can you really call that?

It’s official: no wins by a 13–16 seed for the second straight year. The last time that happened before 2025 was in 2017. The only "upsets" today were two 9 seeds over 8 seeds, both of which were favored by Vegas. I fear it is a second straight year of Chalk Madness.

@CBKReport This is the new normal. NIL has changed the sport and crushed the mid majors Yes you’ll get upsets that sneak through but nothing like it used to be. A 16 will not beat a 1 again in the NIL era. I think there is a case to be made for tournament contraction

I see you are an Auburn fan so I wish you luck Sunday, but me personally I don't think they should be given a spot

@LookAtGGman @HWellman11285 @801bracketology Yea that’s where I would disagree. Despite a terrible February, Auburn still has a NET of 38 and Miami (OH) at 54 before the conference tournaments. Advanced metrics still favor Auburn by a lot.

Miami really went UNDEFEATED in the regular season just to pick up a Q4 loss to UMass in the MAC Tournament. It’s going to be a really uncomfortable week for Travis Steele and the Redhawks.
