The amount of ‘autistic’ friends I stopped being friends with because they project their misunderstandings as character flaws of me, rather than lack of understanding.

Being autistic has absolutely impacted my ability to make friends and have a relationship. No, connecting with other autistic people does not fix this deficit in my social ability. Some autistics are even harder to get along with. This affects me greatly in all aspects of life.

Teenage pregnancy rates are extremely low. So it’s definitely not normalized. But supporting a teen mom doesn’t mean we’re encouraging it or celebrating it. I just don’t think a child should be ostracized when most of them are/were victims..
