Ridley Scott’s Black Rain has so many things that I love in life. Andy Garcia. Michael Douglas. The Yakuza. Neo-noir. I don’t speak the same language as those who dislike this film. I don’t understand you. Coming in at just over 2 hours, the film’s length & pacing is perfect.

Last Action Hero (1993) got buried on release, dropped into the same window as Jurassic Park and sold like a straight Arnold blockbuster, so the meta angle didn’t land. In hindsight, it’s a self-aware action film that deconstructs the genre.

De uitzending van #NederlandKiest oogt erg rommelig. Er zitten meer schoonheidsfoutjes in dan normaal tijdens zo’n live uitzending. Het dieptepunt kwam al meteen om 21.00 toen ze te vroeg gingen naar Albert Bos voor de exit poll die toen ongemakkelijk de tijd moest vol praten.
