Pitch Repertoire Update! ⚾️✂️🔊 George Kirby (SEA) has restored the cutter he threw in 2024 and 2022 so it must be an even-year thing. His full arsenal is now SI / FF / FC / SL / KC / CH baseballsavant.mlb.com/savant-player/…

Pitch Repertoire Update!⚾️💱🚨 After switching to a kick change last June & trying out a splitter this Spring, Garrett Crochet (BOS) went back to his "old" changeup on Opening Day. Assuming he sticks with it his full arsenal is now SI / FF / FC / CH / ST baseballsavant.mlb.com/savant-player/…

Baseball Savant listed Baltimore Orioles' starting pitcher Trevor Rogers as throwing a cutter. However, it's probably a pitch-classification issue, since it dropped 36 inches with 4 inches of glove-side break, similar to his slider's movement profile. 🚨Potential New Pitch Alert🚨 🪝Rogers threw a changeup 9 times, mostly to RHH (8, 11%) against the Twins. The Orioles ranked 2nd in curveball usage in 2025. 🌬️Small sample, but Rogers's 4 curveball whiffs (44.4% swinging-strike rate) came low and below the zone against the Twins. The curveball potentially gives him depth to his arsenal, especially toward his glove side, coming from that low 22-degree arm angle. Most of his arsenal moves side-to-side, so the curveball could be interesting. There's a chance it might be classified as a sweeper, too.

Pitch Repertoire Update! ⚾️‼️🚨 We heard directly from Trevor Rogers (BAL) that he considers his breaking balls to be FC & CU rather than SL & ST, so we've updated his career data on Baseball Savant accordingly. His full arsenal is SI / FF / FC / CH / CU baseballsavant.mlb.com/savant-player/…
