No, we cannot confirm such an early emergence as in 1970s. The Amplification emerged not earlier than in 1990s, closer to 2000s. A method of 50yrs trends conflicts with our understanding of Arctic variability and the body of evidence.

I am surprised to see @Nature promoting pre-publication Embargo as a good practice nature.com/articles/d4158… Scientific community widely recognizes it as a bad practice, and promotes preprint publication and open discussions during the peer-review process.
